The Registration Process Explained
All player registrations are done using the AFL managed SportsTG system. This club website simply provides you with information and directs you to the SportsTG portal to begin the registration process. If you run into problems registering, please see the 'Need help registering a player' section below.
The registration process includes confirmation that you understand the code of conduct for players and parents, as well as acknowledging the AFL Queensland Juniors Terms and Conditions.
Once you have completed the SportsTG registration form, you will need to pay the registration fee either by electronic funds transfer to our bank account or via the Point of Sale at the club rooms. Bank account details for EFT can be found at the bottom of the page.
All new AFL players MUST provide our club Registrar with proof of age (copy of birth certificate or passport etc) before playing a game. This can be done via email (see contacts in ABOUT) or in-person at the club.
A copy of the proof of age document will be forwarded along with your registration details to AFL Queensland.
Players are assigned to age groups automatically during the player registration process. The AFL age groups are determined by the same method used by Queensland schools to determine year level. If you would like your child to play in an age group other than the one automatically assigned, please contact the Club Registrar (see contacts in ABOUT).

These sessions are complementary and will be communicated via the TEAMS APP. Please register for TEAM APP, link available from the home page.
Our club Junior and Youth teams will formally commence training from 1 April 2021 (TBC) in age group squads with a view to assigning players to teams by the first round of competition. We understand that the competition will likely start on the ANZAC Day long weekend. The AFL will release the competition fixture once all teams have registered closer to the start of the season.
Introductory Football programs (Auskick and Kinderkick) are also scheduled by the AFL and will commence Sat 6 March run through to 15 May, stopping for a 3 week break over the school holiday period (3-17 April).
Need help registering a player?
All player registrations around the country are managed by the AFL using a system called SportsTG.
The SportsTG system is due for an upgrade and consequently has trouble reconciling registrations where:
a child has previously participated in Auskick or junior footy at another club (requires a transfer).
You have attempted to register them with a different email from the one originally used to sign them up to AFL.
If you run into issues registering a player, please don't hesitate to contact our Club Registrar who will be able to quickly identify the issue and resolve it for you. Please just include your child's full name and date of birth when contacting the Registrar (see contacts in ABOUT)
How do I pay for my child's registration?
Registration payments are accepted at the time of online registration. The SportsTG system accepts payment by Visa, Mastercard, directly from your bank using POLi and Paypal.
If the online registration system doesn't work for you, please contact our Registrar (see CONTACTS) to arrange an alternate method.
We often take Electronic Funds Transfer to the account below, else in-person at the club via our POS (Square) or in cash.
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to the following bank account:
Bank: Commonwealth Bank
Name: Mayne Junior Australian Football Club Inc
Reference: Players Name/Age Group (ie Bill Smith/U8)
